Hearing Voices Network Ireland was launched in April 2015. There were two excellent radio discussions about voice hearing on the RTE Radio One. The interviews are with voice hearer Rory Doody (10/4/15) and psychiatrist Dr. Malcolm Garland (21/4/15).

Hearing Voices Network Launch (21/4/15)
Two weeks ago John spoke to Rory Doody from West Cork who told us about the voices he hears in his head. We got a great response from our listeners & this morning clinical psychiatrist with the HSE, Dr Malcolm Garland is in studio with John. First a report from Colm Flynn who was at the recent launch of the National Hearing Voices Network.

Auditory Halluncinations (10/4/15)
Most of us know what it is like to be under pressure, having too many thoughts running around our heads but can you imagine how difficult it would be to hear actual voices?
It is what psychiatrists refer to as ‘auditory halluncinations’. Joining John from our Cork studio is Rory Doody, who knows too well what it is to have this condition.
Next Friday is the launch of the national Hearing Voices network here inIreland. It’s taking place at 1.30 at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin.
